Canada Opens World’s Longest Hiking Trail That Stretches Coast to Coast

  • The Great Trail stretches from St. John’s in the East to Victoria in the West and has a huge looping detour north through the Yukon and Northwest Territories to the Arctic Ocean.
  • This is the longest recreational trail in the world stretching 14 684 miles across the countries.
  • The construction of this trail is the wok of volunteers who have been working with local conservation groups, provincial governments and municipalities over the past 25 years.
