Thai Plant Will Convert Sugar Cane to Sustainable Plastics

  • NatureWorks has created a way to convert Thailand’s sugarcane in to a low-carbon bioplastic called Ingeo.
  • The bioplastic can be used in a wide-range of plastic and fiber products can can produce approximately 80% less greenhouse gases.
  • The Thailand facility is set to produce 75 000 tons of sustainable plastic per year.
