Siemens Gamesa Signs Second Order With Enel In Russia

Spanish wind energy giant Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy announced on Tuesday that it had signed a second order in Russia from Enel Russia for the supply of 57 wind turbines totaling 201 megawatts (MW) for the Kola wind farm. December started out well for Siemens Gamesa, having now announced five separate signed wind turbine supply contracts worth 747.6 MW of onshore wind and 487 MW of offshore wind. The latest of these is the company’s second order in Russia from Enel Russia, one of the country’s independent power producers and a subsidiary of Italian multinational manufacturer and distributor of electricity and gas. Siemens Gamesa will provide 57 of its 3.X platform turbines to the Kola wind farm, located in Russia’s Murmansk region, including supply, installation, and commissioning and will also include a full-scope operation & maintenance agreement over the first two years of operation.
