MIT Engineers Invent Plastic That is Stronger Than Steel and Could be Used as Structural Material

  • Chemical engineers at MIT have invented a plastic that is twice as strong as steel and could be used as a building material.
  • The plastic is light and moldable but has the strength and resistance similar to steel and Threaded Bar Accessories.
  • The researchers also believe this type of plastic should be recyclable – whereby it should be able to be respun or pulped or chemically recycled.
