Mini Yard Meadows Give Bees a Boost

  • A small wildlife patch of your garden could have a big benefits for biodiversity especially pollinators.
  • A recent study showed that regardless of the type of seed mix used, gardens that had mini meadows or wildlife patches saw more than a twofold increase in bumblebees the year after.
  • Biodiversity efforts have grown in the UK to protect pollinators including “No Mow May,” which is a push to stop homeowners from cutting their grass in the spring’s blooming season to improve plant and pollinator diversity.
