Meet the Company Building Europe’s First Fossil-Free Plastics Plant

  • Delfzijl in the Netherlands are looking to create plant based plastics and if even working with  Carlsberg to develop “paper” beer bottles.
  • The plant proposes to produce 5000 tonnes of plant-based plastic a year which will be enough to make around 200 million bottles.
  • The company as developed a process that will convert plant-based sugars into a chemical building block for plastic.
