Male Penguin Couple Doing ‘Great Job’ Raising Foster Hatchling, New York Zoo Says

  • Two male Humboldt penguins, Elmer and Lima, who live at a New York zoo have become foster parents of a brand new hatchling.
  • The two penguins were given a dummy egg last year to test their ability at egg care and were great at it.
  • These penguin dads took turns incubating the egg until it hatched on New Year’s Day.
