Global toy giant says it will start phasing out plastic packaging across its iconic portfolio from next year Hasbro has become the latest multinational to launch a major crack down on plastic packaging, announcing this week that it is to begin phasing out plastic packaging from new toy and game packaging from next year. The manufacturer of some of the world’s most popular toy and games brands – including Monopoly, Nerf, My Little Pony, Play-Doh, Transformers, and many others – said the phase out would cover all new product packaging, including plastic elements like polybags, elastic bands, shrink wrap, window sheets, and blister packs. It added that its "ambition" was to eliminate "virtually all plastic in packaging for new products by the end of 2022".
