IKEA Sells Solar Panels Through Its Home Solar With IKEA Line

Ikea sells solar panels

Previously, IKEA sold solar panels in the UK for a short period. But now, it’s set to sell them in the United States. This could make solar more affordable for the average household.

In fact, the Swedish furniture company plans to sell solar panels at its stores in the United States this fall. It’s doing this with the help of SunPower, a solar-power company based in California.

Ikea plans to sell solar panels to households in eight stores in California. The company plans to do this through its Home Solar with IKEA line.

In order to purchase IKEA solar panels, customers will need to join the company’s loyalty program, IKEA Family. Once they do, they can track their energy usage through an app. This way, they can sell back any excess electricity. The company also plans to install a DC-battery storage unit in the house. The battery kit will take about three weeks to install.

IKEA’s solar panels are expected to pay for themselves in seven years, according to Ikea. They are designed to be easy to install and use. The company also offers free quotes to customers from solar specialists.

IKEA’s solar panels will be sold in the United States through its Home Solar with IKEA line, which is expected to launch this fall. It’s also working with SunPower, the largest solar-power provider in the country. The collaboration is expected to launch in Fall 2022 in select California IKEA locations.
