Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital in Michigan is offering a healthy vegan cooking class to show which foods can help prevent cancer. The class, called the Eating Healthy to Prevent Cancer Cooking Demonstration, is associated with National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, the News-Herald reports . Dietitian Julie Fromm will teach the class how certain nutritious foods can reduce one’s risk of cancer and perform a plant-based cooking demonstration. Fromm is part of Generation with Promise, a program from the Henry Ford Hospital System that teaches low-income Michigan residents how to cook healthy on a budget . “We are out in the community. We’re not asking people come to us — we go to them. ‘One person at a time,’ is what we always say.
