  • As part of Spain’s new draft law aimed at reducing food waste, bars and restaurants could be forced to offer customers free “doggy bags”.
  • If the law is passed, the stores and supermarkets would be asked to reduce the price of products that are approaching their “best before” date.
  • If the products are no longer fit for consumption, they will be used towards animal feed or in the production of fertilizers and biofuel.
