  • The Robinson R44 helicopter is the first electric helicopter to go from one city to another.
  • The route was 39 kilometres long, and the helicopter still had 50% of its battery state of charge at the end of the flight.
  • “We believe we’re developing a really practical solution for short duration rotorcraft flights such as organ deliveries, pilot training, scenic tours and other inner-city trips,” said Tier 1 Engineering President Glen Dromgoole.
