Eco Friendly Cleaning Products Made Easy

I was born in a very small country in South America. We used to reuse everything we could, not with the intention of saving the environment, but just out of necessity.
When I was 10 years old, we moved to Canada and our whole life changed, even the way we consume things. North America has a culture of just buying a lot of stuff that we don’t really need and for some reason, compared to Europe, we are really under developed when it comes to living sustainably.
When I moved out of my parents house during my college years, I started to educate myself about our impact on the earth. I learned that we need immediate change in our consumption because we do not have unlimited resources; there’s a mathematical contradiction between a linear economy and the cyclic way that nature works. I then started my eco-friendly journey, and quickly realized that most eco-friendly products are expensive and most people are not going to make the switch because they can’t afford it and the rest of the population just doesn’t care.
I figured that by coming up with cheaper alternatives to our current products, most people would be encouraged to make the change even if they don’t care about preserving the environment (it will be a bonus). A lot of people are intimidated about going zero waste and are afraid that they won’t be able to do it, so they quit. My goal is not to make everyone go on a perfect zero-waste journey. The goal is to make as many people as possible go eco-friendly.
Our concentrated refill tablets cut on the carbon emissions created by transporting bottles filled with liquid. They also save a lot of space compared to your regular cleaning product refill. Most people go through cleaning products and just throw away the bottles, or in the best case scenario, recycle them, but only 9% of that plastic actually gets recycled in North America.
This means that the majority of plastic is not recyclable. Most of it ends up in a landfill or in the ocean, polluting the natural resources and even the fish that we eat. This is why everything in my store is 100% recyclable and hopefully it sets an example for others to make the switch. I hope to be able to educate people about their consumption, not only for the environment, but also for their own health.
