  • According to new survey results, the number of Davis Strait polar bears is stable, with an estimate of 2015 bears.
  • The bear’s body condition has improved since 2007 and the bear cubs are surviving.
  • Right now, ice conditions are promising, which means the East Coast harp seals will give birth to pups in March and the Davis Strait polar bears will be able to feed on them.
