Tim joined the board of the Gambier Island Conservancy in 2018 to further support ongoing efforts to conserve, protect and restore the ecological integrity of Atl’katsem – Howe Sound’s largest and most diverse island and wild neighbour of Vancouver. For almost 40 years he has hiked the Gambier backcountry, swum its lakes, explored its creeks, and paddled its shorelines introducing innumerable elementary and high school students to this remarkable classroom. Tim has lived in Gibsons Landing since 1989 where he and his wife raised their two sons and directed Sea to Sky Outdoor School for Sustainability Education.
