ABOUT Olivier

Olivier is a 20 year old Geography student at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, BC, originally from the North West of England.

Growing up near the Cumbrian Lake District, he spent much of his childhood in the last wild places of England. He is an active advocate of the re-wilding movement across the UK to bring back native, extinct fauna and sees a future where wolves, bears, lynx, pine martens and beavers are reintroduced into the British woodlands. Having already spent much time supporting the reintroduction of Eurasian beavers into England and Scotland, he is now focusing on raising awareness of the importance of both pine martens and lynx in reestablishing the trophic cascades which have been lost for so long.

In his spare time he enjoys fell-running, open-water swimming, mountain-biking and cross-country skiing. He also operates a small recycled clothing business, with 3% of gross sales being donated to the rewilding of extinct British fauna (www.bjornfell.co.uk)
