ABOUT Mariz
Mariz Guiniawan is an Ibaloi cultural worker and environmental advocate from Dalupirip, Itogon, Benguet, in Northern Philippines. Her engagement with environmental issues began at a young age when her community was affected by the construction of the San Roque Dam along the Agno River. She has been involved in community-based organizing and advocacy across the Cordillera region, working with indigenous communities confronting large-scale development projects, including through Dap-ayan ti Kultura iti Cordillera (DKK), a regional alliance of cultural organizations. She currently works in remote support services and continues to engage in community and cultural initiatives as her schedule allows.
