Jacob Yu

Jacob Yu is currently a senior at Dwight Morrow High School based in Bergen County, New Jersey, with a strong interest in environmental advocacy and community care.

He is the co-founder and co-leader of EcoActionNJ, a student-led initiative that has three main focuses: organizing community cleanups, promoting civic engagement, and encouraging local environmental action.

Through this work, Jacob has helped coordinate cleanups across New Jersey and a newly formed chapter in New York, all while leading outreach efforts and participating in conversations with local officials about sustainability initiatives. He is especially interested in how environmental policy and grassroots leadership intersect to create meaningful, community-driven change.
