David Mann
ABOUT David
David is the Founder of Loggerhead Instruments which develops bioacoustics products, including Haikubox.
David has extensive experience in the field of bioacoustics – the sounds animals make to communicate – and using it to monitor animal behavior. He earned his doctorate from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution by studying domino damselfish at a Pacific atoll, where he used some of the earliest bioacoustics monitoring systems. He later was a faculty member at the University of South Florida and then founded Loggerhead Instruments.
David has published over 100 peer-reviewed research papers, book chapters, and reports on bioacoustics of fish and marine mammals.
