Cultural Survival
ABOUT Cultural Survival
Cultural Survival is an Indigenous-led non-profit organization dedicated to defending the rights, cultures, and self-determination of Indigenous Peoples worldwide. Since 1972, Cultural Survival has worked alongside Indigenous communities to amplify their voices in international policy spaces, support their media and communication initiatives, and advocate for the recognition of their traditional knowledge as essential to addressing local and global challenges. Cultural Survival`s journey began with the A'uwẽ-Xavante Peoples in the 1960s. Their struggle was not only the origin but also the very reason we continue to exist today.
