ABOUT Annie

Annie Edwards is a strategic communications and policy consultant focused on Arctic and marine conservation, advising organizations including Polar Bears International, SeaVoice, the Cultural Heritage Framework Programme, and the UN Ocean Decade.

She is an Editor and Head of Partnerships at SeaVoice, a curated storytelling platform exploring the intersections of ocean, climate, and culture to inspire collective responsibility for blue spaces. SeaVoice is an endorsed activity of the UN Ocean Decade through the Cultural Heritage Framework Programme– the only endorsed Decade Programme centered on cultural heritage. Annie supports CHFP research and dissemination efforts, working to integrate cultural heritage into marine conservation and sustainable development initiatives.

Annie also leads public relations for Polar Bears International on behalf of Fabric Media, working to elevate climate awareness and action. She also manages Polar Bears International’s Polar Bear Safe Community Exchanges, which facilitate in-person knowledge sharing around coexistence, including public education, bear deterrence, waste management, tourism, and sustainable infrastructure in remote northern communities. Annie holds a BSc in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Southern California and an MSc in Marine Systems and Policies from the University of Edinburgh.
