Amazon Researching Net Zero, Biodegradable Plastics to Reduce Packaging Waste

  • In an effort to reduce packaging waste, Amazon is looking at energy efficient technologies to create zero plastics which can be repurposed or biodegradable.
  • The company has also joined the US Department of Energy’s BOTTLE consortium to stimulate innovation and advance technologies to table plastic pollution.
  • They have also joined this consortium to continue developing chemical upcycling.
