Solar energy is cheap, plentiful and low impact. The only downside is finding a way of storing the energy until it needed by consumers. Molten salt batteries are not new, but they are now being refined.

The first thing you see of the Crescent Dunes Solar Energy Facility, and you can be miles away, is a light so bright you can’t look directly at it.
