• Second-generation anticoagulant rodenticides (SGARs) are poisons commonly used in bait traps and are ingested by small rodents and other pests.
  • British Columbia has announced that the sale and use of SGARs will be permanently banned as of January 2023.
  • This comes after a consultation with First Nations, local governments, the public, pest control operators, agricultural operators and more stakeholders.
