• A municipality in the Netherlands is encouraging its citizens not to rake or blow the fallen leaves this fall.
  • Some environmental benefits of doing this are there is less need for water in the summer, and when it rains, there is less runoff to the drains.
  • The council is also putting out leaf baskets for people to deposit leaves and to have them be diced, mulched and used as compost for city plants next spring.
