• Start-up Living Carbon has found a way to genetically-modify fast-growing supertrees.
  • The company found that these trees grew about 53% more mass than a traditional tree and could remove 27% more carbon from the atmosphere.
  • Living Carbon plans to double its acreage of planted trees yearly, aiming to remove 604 million metric tons of carbon by 2030.
