• Researchers from Tokyo University have found a way to turn food waste into edible cement for construction use.
  • They have successfully used tea leaves, orange and onion peel, coffee grounds, and Chinese cabbage and have been able to adjust the flavours of their product and give it a different colour.
  • They believe the cement can be used to make temporary homes for evacuation purposes where it can be converted into food should supplies run out.
