• In the first study to compile standardize camera trap images from across the Amazon, researchers have compiled more than 154 000 images.
  • They have recorded 317 species of birds, mammals and reptiles across Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Peru, Suriname and Venezuela.
  • This data will help with new studies on forest fragmentation habitat loss and climate change.
