• Dutch studio office Studio MOM has created a helmet out of biomaterials including mycelium and hemp.
  • When heated, mycelium becomes rigid, lightweight and has low thermal conductivity, similar to expanded polystyrene made in traditional helmets, except they can be biodegraded.
  • Mycelium bonds with the hemp textile that form the strap and outer skin and removes the need for glue.
