• Tyson Foods were recognized for reducing the production of all by-products including animal fats, hides and inedible proteins.
  • They were also recognized for using the waste management system to reuse or recycle it’s remaining by-products which in turns helped increase the plant’s efficiency.
  • The plants in Tennessee, Arkansas, Kentucky and Georgia were successful in diverting 95% to 99% of their waste from landfills.
