(4) VISITORS to Boscombe Pier will soon be able to tee-off and feed the fish at the same time. The UK’s first ever eco-friendly mini golf attraction will open on the pier in the next few weeks, where the specially-made golf balls feed the fish. Players will take on the course, which zig-zags along the pier, and aim to hit the ball through the hole at the end. Once the balls, known as an Ecobioball, hit the water, they biodegrade in less than 48 hours, releasing the fish food inside the ball. Councillor Lawrence Williams, portfolio holder for tourism, leisure and the arts at Bournemouth council said: “It’s a really wonderful, novel idea which I think is going to do great on Boscombe Pier. “The mini golf will be played along both sides of the pier, zig-zagging back and forth.
